Code of Conduct / Set of Rules for Young People
ORMSKIRK CRICKET CLUB

Ormskirk Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members.
Ormskirk Cricket Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents, carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Rachel Rankin, Club Welfare Officer. As a member of Ormskirk Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following junior code of conduct:

All members must play within the rules and spirit of the game, respect officials and their decisions and respect the opposition.

All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

It is unacceptable to use foul or abusive language.

Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.

Members agree to follow the instructions provided by any coach at training sessions and by any manager at matches.

Members must wear suitable kit –cricket whites (for matches), protective cricket helmets, abdominal protectors, pads & gloves (when batting). – for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager.

Junior members are not allowed to smoke, consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.
Failure to Abide

In the event that a Junior Member fails to abide by the Code of Conduct the Club has the right to terminate that membership for the remainder of the season without reimbursement of any fees paid. The final decision on membership will be made by Scott Meredith, Junior Chair.
