John Kitson

With great sadness we announce that John Kitson,rightly described as  a great clubman passed away at the weekend .

He will be remembered as one who was meticulous in the work he did  behind the scenes for Ormskirk Cricket  Club  over many years , notably as a former treasurer in challenging times ,latterly as subscriptions secretary , a role he entered into with supreme  efficiency .

A life member, John represented the club in the era when both darts and dominoes comprised part of the social scene and for several decades followed affairs on the field of play ,both at Brook Lane and away from home.

His departure will leave  a conspicuous space on the boards, and a gulf in the smooth running of OCC .

John will be sadly missed by all friends and members and our sympathies at this difficult times are extended to his family.
