Lancashire KO Winners 2021

There will be plenty said about yesterdays performance at Old Trafford when Ormskirk took on Burnley in the final of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation KO Cup.

It was simply a superb display from a very talented team. From the first ball, Ormskirk controlled the match, Erasmus, Burnley's pro took the game forward but Ormskirk fought back and restricted the opposition to 188.

The batting, from Alex and Rob Rankin was a delight to watch and with a partnership of 134 before Alex succumbed on 59 and Rob with a Man of the Match winning score of 91 left Gary Knight, fittingly, to hit the winnings runs.

This was one of Ormskirk's best ever team performances and will long be remembered.
